I have been in laundry rooms in privates residence’s for 30 years. As I check out new ideas on the net to see if anybody is addressing the “hidden” dangers of new laundry rooms and front loading machines. Nobody is talking about the danders of built-in washer and dryers, and the length of the dryer vent. Seems most just want a “look” not a safe and efficient work place. How do I get to your vent if “built in” how do you look at hookup hose to make sure it is correct. A crushed connect hose is the most important set up in the room, and how does the dryer get good airflow when tucked away so tight, a lot of air needs to go through a dryer. Please design your infrastructure first to code. And don’t trust your architect to get it right, as well as the inspector to catch it if its wrong. I have seen a lot of dreams in the new laundry room go up in flames.
